After two very successful seasons riding a Moto3 in the British Superbike support class Jake Archer is looking to take the Hel Performance British Motostar title in 2018.

During that time there have been race victories and numerous podiums and the runner-up spot in the championship on both occasions. Once again, the Andover Ace will line up on the grid for Team City Lifting who saw their riders take first and second places in the championship last season.

Archer has received fantastic support from City Lifting, Kovara Projects and his other sponsors over the years and continues to do so as he looks to mount another championship challenge. The very experienced Ryan Saxelby (RS Racing) will continue as the team manager preparing the bike to give Jake the best opportunity at each round. His father, Richard Archer, will also be around to lend a hand when needed.

The season starts at Brands Hatch in Kent on the Indy circuit on the 13 – 15 April 2018. Last year he managed two second place finishes and only missed out on race victories by 0.05 seconds in one race and half a second in the other. It is a circuit where he has shown great pace taking the fastest lap in both races in 2017.

Archer has a new teammate for 2018. 16-year-old Jack Scott finished fourth overall in the standard Moto3 class last year and now steps up to ride with Archer in the GP category.

One other change from previous years is Archer will race with the number 2 on his Team City Lifting KTM for this season.

You can follow Jake Archer’s season here of course and if you want to become a part of it you can join the 47 crew and help keep him on track.

Jake said, “The winter always seems to long and I can’t wait to get back on the Moto3. I have the continued support of Team City Lifting and RS Racing and expect to be challenging for the title again this year. I would like to thank my sponsors for their continued support and faith in me.”
